I paid £375 for a portable garage.Totally useless product.Instructions in foreign language.The product is faulty but because I have taken it out of the packaging they will not refund.The customer service is awful.
TAKE MY ADVICE SHOP ELSEWHERE

I am absolutely shocked at the customer service from House of Tents. My order arrived with multiple items missing, the poles were rusty and completely unfit for use, and there were no fixtures or fittings included. When I contacted customer service, the adviser was incredibly unhelpful and even implied she didn’t believe me about the missing parts.

To make matters worse, when I asked to return the order due to it being incorrect and faulty, I was told I would have to pay for a courier myself. I find it unacceptable to be out of pocket for a mistake that wasn’t my fault.

Overall, a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The polytunnel arrived with everything as described, with no hassle with delivery. The man helped to carry it into the doorway and was very pleasant too. Erecting the polytunnel was as difficult as ever but only because of a gale here in the UK, nothing to do with the House of Tents. Now it’s up, it’s a delight. There is room to stand, to plant and to enjoy the warmer temperatures inside it. I even had a lizard migrate in when it was finished so wildlife likes it as much as I do. A great buy, I hope it lasts for years. It seems sturdy and works beautifully. Thanks.

Products look great but delivery is abysmal! DX never achieve the stated delivery date. And invariably I have to chase House of Tents for an update. Not a great experience!

Our 8m x 4m marquee was of good heavy-duty quality material and fittings and was well made. The only criticism would be that there should be more pegs and they should be bigger for the size of tent, however, stronger pegs can be purchased separately.
It proved to be totally waterproof when subjected to a heavy rain shower during the afternoon. The number of windows were perfect, allowing plenty of light into the space.
It took 3 of us to erect and both the online instructions and paper ones supplied were easy to follow.
The company were friendly and easy to deal with when I had delivery issues. It was competitively priced and represented excellent value for money.

Waited a week for delivery. Then when I was about to install garage tent noticed I only recieved half my order. No emails to explain this. A week later still waiting for the rest of my order. Terrible customer service. Just put the phone down on me. I just think when your paying a very large some of money this should be done right first time. So 2 weeks since my order and still can’t install my garage. Very poor.

Ordered a 5m x 5m party tent. Product arrived quickly and customer service after delivery was good.

Fast delivery good communication and good product

I ordered a large tent from House of Tents (TOOLPORT GmbH) expecting a professional service. What actually arrived was a disaster.

The delivery came in five parcels. Three arrived first, all crushed, torn open, and clearly mishandled. Later, another damaged box arrived, also open at both ends with metal pipes sticking out. The final parcel never arrived at all and has been stuck at the DX courier hub for days.

When I reported this, the company admitted responsibility but asked me to identify which boxes I’d received and to check against the assembly instructions to find out what might be missing. That’s not the customer’s job, the seller should know what they shipped.

The damaged boxes were in no condition to repack or even move safely, and the tent is completely unusable. I needed it for the weekend and the delay made that impossible.

After pushing back, the company eventually agreed to collect the goods and issue a refund, but it took multiple emails and far too much effort for what should have been a straightforward delivery.

The whole experience has been extremely poor, both in terms of packaging and aftersales handling. I wouldn’t risk ordering again from this supplier.

This tent was delivered quickly and is a high quality structure. It was tested just after it was put up with a heavy downpour and proved to be completely watertight and strong. An excellent product.

This was the third Marquee I have purchased from this company, I must have been mad as the second one I ordered had holes in the roof so they sent me some plasters to cover them up, so should have not ordered anymore from then on.

The third delivery was by far the worst.
The marquee came in different boxes but should have all arrived on the same day, one did not arrive and I was told it would be with me the next day but it wasn’t delivered…. when it did arrive it was the wrong part which was noted while erecting the marquee of which we had paid two people a days wages to do this. I then had to ask them to return when the correct parcel arrived many days later so this was more expense for me!

The communication between the House of Tents and the delivery company DXFREIGHT-UK is diabolical.
The delivery driver who delivered the second tent some time back just threw the items on the floor, leaving lots of the parts to fall out.

When you contact House of Tents you get the same old email back saying ‘sorry, we appreciate your patience and understanding’ well I can assure everyone I ended up having no patience, and even less when I got a reply in German writing, this experience as truly been one of the worst I have ever had.

I have three more planned marquee’s to purchase but definitely from another company!
