Order pizza with them that never came.
They blaim the takeaway, the shop says they never gotten order.

Either way I got no food and money taken from my account.

This site and it’s takeaways can’t be trusted.

Worst Takeaway experience I’ve ever had

I placed an order at 22:56 on Monday 25th of July, for a chinese through takeaway.com to a restaurant called China Garden. I didn’t know at this point takeaway.com closes their customer service at 11pm. so I receive a confirmation email saying my order has been processed and sent to restaurant – China Garden. So I call China Garden and I spoke to a guy who was really rude to me, arguing on the phone interrupting me saying he has not received my order I rang a total of 5 times to keep checking if order had came through and he hung up on me twice. I am appalled and shocked, I work in a call centre and if I spoke to my customers like he spoke to me I wouldn’t have a job. I think he clearly received my order it was the end of the night and so he thought it would be better to lie to me and say he hadn’t received it so he could go home early. At this stage all I’m able to do is email takeaway.com because according to the website and the email i received for urgent enquiries contact the restaurant directly. I can honestly say I am irate, I’ve been charged for my order, I’ve got no food and I’ve got to wait until tomorrow before getting a response, I will be reporting the website for having appealing customer service and not having any means in place to offer assistance to someone who works 11 hour shifts and wanted to order some damn food

so slick and simple

Takeaway.com was my third choice. I tried to order with deliveroo…. their payment system didn’t recognise my card (lloyds visa). Then tried just-eat, their authorisation was taking so long that I contacted customer support which was pretty good and simply cancelled the order. I then went to takeaway.com. It’s clear that their payment system is superior, they accept bitcoin and the others don’t. I’ve used them with bitcoin before but never card payments. The visa card was processed within seconds and order on it’s way. Takeaway.com isn’t as fancy as deliveroo and it doesn’t have as much of a selection as just eat but it does what it says on the tin and it does it well.

No food !!

First time using this site, only 1 Indian takeaway listed for my address so made my order and paid, waited eagerly for our dinner only to be rang 15 minutes later to say they could not fulfil my order as the restaurant have changed their delivery parameters ! I now have to wait at least 2 days for a refund, I will never use this site again !

First time I have used takeaway.com

Did exactly what it promised. With the list of restaurants that were offered I found an Indian restaurant I had never used before with a high user review rating. The quality of the food was excellent so the app had helped me to find what will now be my new first choice for Indian food. After I ordered someone from takeaway.com called me to let me know that the restaurant was exceptionally busy and would take 1 hour rather than the suggested 40mins that the app suggested. I was offered the opportunity to cancel which I declined. The food arrived within the hour so overall very impressed.

It works – but a lot cheaper to order direct!

Service works fine – but a word or 2 of caution … going online prevented me from getting a discount available by phone and cost an extra service charge … about 20% of the bill … probably depends on the particular restaurant so may not be a uniform issue.
